About The Position

The Lead System Engineer will translate core architecture for business requirements into final technical solutions through functional, performance, and reliability analyses using engineering models and techniques. This role involves performing software development throughout the vertical stack, defining designs, and providing technical enablement for application components and subsystems. The Lead System Engineer will drive important design decisions for the development team, elaborate on designs and interfaces for specific components, and align development teams to a shared technical direction. Responsibilities include validating technology assumptions, evaluating implementation alternatives, establishing critical NFRs, and creating/enabling continuous delivery for applications and software. The role also involves developing and operating customer-facing systems, building and maintaining web applications, performing incident management and Root Cause Analysis, and supporting websites and mobile apps. Additionally, the Lead System Engineer will drive the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), establish operations intake models, interface with external teams for defect triage, provide statuses during major launch events, and represent application problem triage with external organizations. Impact analysis will be performed using Splunk and Quantum Metrics, and work will be conducted within Agile frameworks.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation elaborating on designs and interfaces for specific components by defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context.
  • Developing and operating customer-facing systems.
  • Building and maintaining web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Performing incident management and utilizing Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
  • Working with front-end frameworks: React and Angular.
  • Utilizing server-side rendering technologies, salesforce applications, and in-cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Performing impact analysis using Splunk and Quantum Metrics.
  • Working with agile frameworks.
  • Utilizing the following technology and software: C/C++, VB, Oracle DB, SQL, Selenium, Linux, Unix, Tealeaf, DynaTrace, ELK (Elastic Search), Adobe Analytics, Power BI, Postman, SoapUI, Tableau, Agile Craft, Jira Align, HP ALM, and Catch point.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize server-side rendering technologies, salesforce applications, and in-cloud technologies and architectures.
  • Provide Problem and Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) assessments, functional triage, customer impact assessments, and major launch event support for Consumer Online Sales and Account Management.
  • Support websites and mobile apps.
  • Drive adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) within the SPT operations.
  • Establish operations intake models for production defects and issues.
  • Interface with external teams to support CTX defects and incident triage.
  • Provide statuses during major launch events.
  • Represent CTX application problem triage and status with external organizations.
  • Perform impact analysis using Splunk and Quantum Metrics.
  • Work with Agile frameworks.
