About The Position

Supervise and direct agents in the safeguarding of guests, assets, and personnel through observation, communication, accurate documentation, and teamwork. Monitors audio and video surveillance equipment. Radio dispatches information to security. Monitors access equipment. Provides for safety and security of patrons, employees, visitors, and assets of CNE. Monitors activity to ensure compliance with all Gaming policies and procedures. Maintains logs and completes forms. Performs checks and completes logs on condition of equipment ensuring surveillance equipment is operating properly. Requirements

  • 24 hours college credit or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • Year of job-related experience
  • 6 months of Surveillance experience required
  • Must be English language proficient and demonstrate proper grammar. May require proofreading and editing skills.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must possess conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Detailed oriented, self-motivated, and thorough.
  • Able to work well with a team. Able to remain focused during stressful or difficult circumstances.
  • Able to remain neutral no matter the situation. Must be able make factual statements and keep personal opinions or beliefs private.

  • Familiar with camera locations views and able to proficiently operate Surveillance Equipment.
  • Proficiently operate Phone system, basic office equipment, computer, and basic computer programs utilized in daily operations (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • General knowledge of house games. Capable of playing, dealing, identifying any potential scams at said games.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs the performance of Agent’s job duties on assigned shift for all aspects of daily department operation.
  • Performs administrative tasks and paperwork on assigned shift.
  • Ensures that all the surveillance systems are operating and recording as designed and to require specifications.
  • Ensures surveillance of the gaming areas where possible cheating, theft, non-compliance of Gaming Policies or Tribal/State/Federal Regulations, and criminal acts may occur.
  • Maintains knowledge of most current CNE Internal Controls and Policies and Procedures. Demonstrate familiarity of controls for every CNE department and position, gaming and non-gaming. Able to evaluate and identify variances from established standards and document and report these variances.
  • Responds to requests for Video Reviews, Observation requests, opening and closing of Card table notifications, and other requests for information from Internal Audit, Gaming, Security, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and outside agencies.
  • Creates and documents reports on non-compliance, incidents, and video reviews. Reports must be clear, concise, and factual. Reports must be written properly, and contain all necessary information. Reports need to be forwarded to Supervisor.
  • Maintains proper chain-of-custody and storage procedure on all video evidence, physical evidence, and reports generated or maintained by Surveillance.
  • May be required to testify or attest to the accuracy of, or information in, a report or video.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and standards of conduct concerning Surveillance matters and job performance. All Surveillance employees are required to sign a separate Confidentiality and Standards of Conduct Agreement.
  • Works as a “Team” to achieve department goals, fulfill Surveillance Mission Statement, and meet overall business objectives of CNE. Contribute to the integrity and effectiveness of the Surveillance Department.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and standards of conduct concerning Surveillance matters and job performance.
  • Makes recommendations to Supervisor on employee scheduling, disciplinary actions, reviews, performances appraisals, transfers, promotions, and training.
  • Provides training and development of Agents.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
