About The Position

This role is responsible for the daily operations of the workshop, including managing personnel, production, quality, safety, costs, and statistics. The Lead Supervisor reports to the plant manager and is accountable for workshop indicators and overall workshop performance.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.
  • 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods.
  • Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip).
  • Visual acuity including: NEAR ACUITY, FAR ACUITY, DEPTH PERCEPTION, COLOR VISION, FIELD OF VISION.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Familiar with tempered product process and quality requirements.
  • Familiar with the product safety and regulation.
  • Familiar with process FMEA.
  • Skilled in mold repair technology.
  • Familiar with production statistical statements and recording, and other production statistics basic knowledge and skills.
  • Knowledge of Tempering Technology, Quality, Equipment Operation and Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Plant Quota Evaluation and Production, Quality Statement Analysis.
  • Knowledge of 5s and 6δ management.
  • Knowledge of Post Related Material Safety Data Sheet.
  • Powered Industrial Truck Certification (Propane, Gas, or Stand up if applicable).
  • SPC, FMEA and Other Tools for Quality Management.
  • Forklift Train the Trainer Certified.
  • Must complete all training described in the Company’s Training Standard, in the areas of Safety, Output, Quality, Management, Leadership, 5S and Legal.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting daily workshop indicator operations and management to the plant manager.
  • Arranging internal workshop production according to production orders.
  • Implementing workshop contingency plans for emergencies.
  • Supervising and inspecting pre-production preparations, labor discipline, work quality, production safety, and employee compliance with operating instructions.
  • Managing workshop production quality and cost to meet company requirements.
  • Implementing company management rules and briefing on production, quality, and labor discipline.
  • Organizing analysis and improvement of difficult problems, tracking performance, and providing feedback.
  • Organizing statistical analysis and developing improvement measures for abnormal indicators, tracking performance.
  • Coordinating workshop daily routines and cooperating with other departments for inventory and bonus accounting.
  • Auditing the authenticity of workshop production statements and records, and compliance of inventories and accounts.
  • Custody of workshop documents, statements, and records.
  • Purchasing workshop daily production tooling and tools.
  • Supervising the daily application, maintenance, and custody of workshop equipment, tooling, and tools.
  • Developing and organizing employee training, transfer training, and multi-post development plans, tracking implementation results.
  • Monitoring the implementation of 5s and security of workshop posts to maintain a clean, efficient, and safe working environment.
  • Participating in activities to improve quality, eliminate waste, and reduce costs.
  • Understanding and monitoring workshop environmental factors, risk factors, hazards, and their control methods.
  • Supervising workshop material safety data sheets.
  • Implementing integrated management system related documents.
  • Storing post wastes by categories.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
