About The Position

The Lead Student Pastor is responsible for building and equipping volunteer teams to disciple the next generation. This role requires strong communication skills to connect with students, volunteers, and parents, embodying the love of Jesus. The individual will identify and connect people to volunteer opportunities based on their God-given wiring. A deep theological understanding is essential for decision-making. The role involves sharing best practices, joyful teamwork, and confidently leading midweek and weekend programming.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience leading a large student ministry preferred
• Prior supervision of other student pastors preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide opportunities for involvement in high school and middle school ministries: midweek groups, midweek programming, discipleship groups, missions, campus ministries, and special events
• Build and develop strong lay leaders and volunteer teams
• Provide spiritual guidance and support to high school and middle school students
• Partner with Central Students to create midweek and weekend experience and execute the strategies created by Central at a high level
• Participate in general pastoral duties as needed at the Campus for families and church members as needed (counseling, benevolence, baptisms, etc.)
• Visit school campuses on a regular basis and attend student games, lunches, FCA meetings, and other activities that would provide opportunities to get to know and minister to students
• Attend and help execute summer camp, mission trips, and other student ministry events throughout the year
