About The Position

Bachman’s Maplewood has an opening for an experienced stock individual who is skilled in maintaining accurate inventory, excels in customer service and understands the process of inbound and outbound freight in the retail industry. This is a full-time position (32-40 hours/week, Shifts Sunday through Saturday) with great benefits, a positive work environment, and a team atmosphere.

Requirements

Able to lift up to 75 lbs. waist high hourly.
Able to work in all types of weather.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent customer service skills.
Previous retail or garden center experience.
Previous forklift, electric pallet jack and Bobcat operation experience.
POS or computer experience.

Responsibilities

Work directly on the floor directing and assisting the stock team with processing all incoming and outgoing store shipments which include unloading, receiving, unpacking, pricing, quality verification, and stocking.
Maintain accurate inventory.
Loading/unloading trailers at the dock.
Responsible for opening or closing the store on occasion.
Process all incoming and outgoing store shipments which includes unloading, shipping and receiving, unpacking, pricing, quality verification and stocking.
Change signboard weekly.
Organize and clean warehouse, loading dock and basement areas.
Snow removal on sidewalks in winter and gather carts from parking lot.
Operate forklift and bobcat (in winter) as needed.
Provide work direction and follow-up to stock team under direction of stock supervisor.
Call customers when their product arrives.
Customer carryout’s as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of store including restrooms.
Assist with merchandising as needed.
