About The Position

The Lead Steward assists in training and evaluating Stewards, ensures the maintenance and proper care of equipment, and maintains a safe, clean, and sanitary work environment. This role adheres to MSDS guidelines for safe chemical use and enforces department and property policies. The Lead Steward will perform various kitchen duties as assigned by supervisors and the chef, uphold the Hard Rock mission statement, and represent Hard Rock Biloxi positively. Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of property information and performing other assigned functions. Key competencies include being detail-oriented, projecting a professional and positive image, having a high energy level, and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues and guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in training and evaluating of Stewards.
  • Ensures maintenance and proper care of equipment.
  • Ensures a safe, clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Adheres to the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) to ensure the proper and safe use of chemicals in the workplace.
  • Enforces department and property policies and procedures.
  • Will be asked by supervisors and chef to perform various kitchen duties based on business and operations.
  • Upholds the Mission Statement – We create authentic experiences that rock.
  • Represents Hard Rock Biloxi in the most positive manner with guests, co-workers, managers, and vendors.
  • Lives by the Hard Rock values.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
  • Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
