About The Position

Montgomery County Public Schools is seeking a Lead STEM Teacher currently employed by MCPS to assist the Director of Secondary Education and the Administrator of CTE and Business Partnerships with the development of curriculum and management of student data for the MCPS Governor's STEM Academy. This supplemental contract position is open to current MCPS employees only.

Requirements

A CTE teacher currently employed by MCPS
Experience in curriculum development and developing lesson plans
Experience in managing data
Experience and expertise in using technology in education
Experience or working familiarity with Google Drive for instruction, collaboration, and coursework
Experience in fostering an inclusive learning environment
Effective written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Excellent collaboration skills
Strong professional, interpersonal, and communication skills for working effectively with school personnel and members of the community

Responsibilities

Provide leadership in the development of the written curriculum for the MCPS Governor's STEM Academy program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student
Recruit students and document progress of students in the MCPS Governor's STEM Academy
Work with the Director of Secondary Education and the Administrator of CTE and Business Partnerships to provide resource support and instructional coordination for all MCPS Governor's STEM Academy students
Serve as a point of contact for all Governor's STEM Academy students.
