About The Position

United Land Services is a commercial landscaping company providing year-round landscape maintenance and landscape services to residential developments, condominium communities, commercial buildings, and shopping centers. The Lead Spray Technician role is responsible for recommending and accurately applying fertilizers and pesticides to customer properties. The position operates and maintains application equipment and vehicles, supports weed control, and follows safety requirements and applicable regulations. It also involves soil sampling, fertilizer mixing, and transporting chemicals, fertilizer, and seed.

Requirements

At least three years of experience in fertilizer and pesticide application.
Current pesticide license or certification.
Familiarity with agricultural pesticides, weed identification, and mechanical aptitude.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Meticulous attention to detail in workmanship and completed tasks.
Valid driver’s license; the role may involve driving between job sites and operating company vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Certified Pest Control Operator (CPO) certification for lawn and ornamental.

Responsibilities

Recommend and apply pesticides and fertilizers using specialized equipment and vehicles.
Maintain accurate log books detailing applied acres and activities.
Maintain and calibrate application equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Follow up on weed control in sprayed areas.
Wear proper protective equipment, promote safety, and follow applicable codes, laws, regulations, and procedures.
Participate in continuing education to maintain pesticide applicator licenses and attend applicator equipment workshops.
Perform soil sampling, fertilizer mixing, equipment maintenance, and transportation of chemicals, fertilizer, and seed.
