About The Position

The Lead Angiography/Special Procedures Technologist acts as the expert-level principal radiologic technologist overseeing the technical operations required for the performance of routine and advanced procedures.

Requirements

Associates from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
Certification and Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (required)
2 years of experience in radiology with surgery experience in use of CR (required)

Nice To Haves

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association (preferred)
Certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (preferred)
Certification in Vascular-Interventional Radiology (preferred)
State Licensure (preferred)
EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)
Picture archival communication system (PACS) experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Assists Licensed Practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional and neuro-Interventional procedures.
Assists in coordination of research and implementation of process improvement projects in the department.
Coordinates work assignments including on-call schedule.
Provides input to leadership regarding hiring and annual performance appraisals.
Administers contrast with a power injector as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Assesses patient risk for allergic reaction prior to administration.
Selects and operates the imaging equipment and associated equipment.
Verifies patient’s clinical history and completes pre and post procedural documentation.
