About The Position
The Lead Special Education Teacher will support students with diverse learning needs. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), leading a team of educators, and fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education General Curriculum (P-12)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience working with diverse learning and behavioral needs
Responsibilities
- Design and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
- Provide direct instruction and behavioral support
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families
- Lead and mentor special education staff
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
