About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and results-focused Lead Sourcing Specialist to manage and enhance sourcing and procurement operations. This role is essential in overseeing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, facilitating contract negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Ability to work in manufacturing and fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Industry-specific experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong negotiation, evaluation, and communication skills.
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
  • GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Responsibilities

  • Place and follow-up on POs.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Manage problems and schedule changes and update ERP accordingly.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that balance cost-effectiveness with product quality.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring performance and compliance.
  • Manage CAPEX sourcing, including equipment, tooling, facilities, and infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align procurement timelines and project requirements.
  • Oversee bidding processes, contract negotiation, and finalization for capital projects and services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure sourcing supports new product launches efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Manage RFQ processes, supplier selection, and procurement readiness for production ramp-up.
  • Implement and monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to enhance supply continuity and reduce holding costs.
  • Evaluate supply chain constraints and negotiate improved lead times through forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Oversee procurement activities including RFQs, purchase orders, and contract execution.
  • Conduct market research and assessments to inform procurement actions.

  • The base pay range for this position is $ 82,900.00 - 138,200.00 USD Annual .
  • This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity.
