As a Lead Sourcing Specialist – Buying/Procurement, you are managing the end-to-end buying process for a defined set of goods. You are applying sourcing policies, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring alignment with specifications and budgets. You are driving procurement execution, resolving issues, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations. You are contributing to projects, influencing sourcing strategies, and driving improvements in procurement processes within a complex organizational environment.

Requirements

  • Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Have minimum 3 years of experience in Buying, Procurement, or Sourcing, preferably in Oil & Gas or a similar industrial sector.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Have experience leading initiatives of moderate scope and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Have strong problem identification and solution skills.
  • Have strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
  • This position requires current work authorization in the country of employment. The employer is unable to provide or continue work authorization sponsorship for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Placing purchase orders and following up on execution with suppliers.
  • Managing supplier relationships and resolving issues related to delivery, quality, and scheduling.
  • Updating ERP systems and ensuring accurate procurement data management.
  • Advising functional managers and cross-functional teams on sourcing processes and procedures.
  • Communicating with stakeholders to resolve complex procurement challenges.
  • Leading medium-sized sourcing projects or contributing significantly to larger initiatives.
  • Supporting implementation of sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Driving improvements in procurement processes and operational efficiency.
