About The Position

Negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction. Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Lead initiatives and activities related to sourcing scope, such as lean manufacturing, cost reduction actions and suppliers development (more specifically, scopes related to Field Services).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college – equivalent certificates of Academy or Conferences provided by energy market companies can also be accepted
Minimum of 3 years of experience with Sourcing/Procurement
Fluent in French and English
Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Package
Availability to travel domestic and international for corporative events and supplier visits
Notions of how to read technical drawings and manufacturing process.
Experience with energy business and negotiation with international suppliers

Responsibilities

Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels.
Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers.
Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Other teams (Procurement, Tendering, Project Management, Engineering).
Manage claims and Contracts.
Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
Resolves issues using established procedures.
Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction.
