About The Position

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (ENG 5) to serve as a principal-level individual contributor driving the technical direction of its Buyer Cloud Ad Serving platform. The Ad Serving system is the high-throughput backbone of FreeWheel's demand-side platform, processing billions of ad auctions daily, executing complex real-time decisioning strategies, and delivering responses in single-digit milliseconds. The role is based in Englewood, Colorado, or Sunnyvale, California, and requires onsite work four times per week. The position involves regular, consistent, and punctual attendance and may require nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The position is expected to exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. Employees at all levels are expected to follow Comcast's Operating Principles, prioritize the customer experience, learn and advocate for the company's technology and services, work as a team, participate in the Net Promoter System, drive results and growth, support inclusion, and act in the interests of colleagues, customers, investors, and communities.
