About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Software Developer with financial services experience and expertise in full-stack development, application design, containerization, and DevOps. The role provides end-to-end technical ownership—from design and development through CI/CD, containerized deployment, and production readiness—while leading technical delivery, mentoring engineers, and building secure, scalable, resilient, high-performing enterprise applications. The position leads engineering work across the software development lifecycle, including application modernization and migration to OCP/Kubernetes-based environments, API and microservices development, automated delivery pipelines, production deployment, and post-production support. The Lead Software Engineer works with business, architecture, infrastructure, security, operations, and QA partners; provides technical guidance to other engineers; and helps ensure supported systems meet quality, security, compliance, risk, and non-functional requirements. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Telecommuting is not an option, though a hybrid model is allowable. Relocation assistance is not available. The posting end date is November 4, 2026, and the posting may be removed early due to applicant volume.
