About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Cybersecurity to lead the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing features for its application portfolio. The role develops on the ServiceNow platform using configuration and scripting, and is responsible for application solution quality throughout design, implementation, deployment, and operation. The engineer ensures solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with standards and best practices, and collaborates with engineering, architecture, product, business analysis, and other stakeholders to deliver features in an agile environment. This position has a hybrid work schedule and requires working on-site at one of the listed locations, with three in-office days required. It is not available as a 100% remote position. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are not available. The role may be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights, or other long-term incentive awards.

Requirements

At least 5 years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
At least 5 years of experience building, implementing, and maintaining ServiceNow platform technologies, workflows, and integrations.
At least 3 years of JavaScript development experience in ServiceNow.
At least 2 years of API experience.
At least 2 years of Agile experience.

At least 2 years of experience educating or mentoring less-experienced staff.
ServiceNow CSA and CAD certifications.
At least 1 year of Agentic AI experience.
Advanced oral, written, and presentation communication skills, including explaining technical information to nontechnical audiences.
Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
Experience maintaining sustainable, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and product partners.
Experience in financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industries.

Responsibilities

Develop on the ServiceNow platform using configuration and scripting.
Collaborate with lead engineers and architects to define coding standards, processes, tooling, and frameworks for delivering features.
Design, code, configure, unit test, maintain, and document software deliverables using agreed standards and tools.
Ensure solutions delivered by the individual or team are secure, scalable, and compliant with defined standards and best practices.
Ensure the product backlog includes appropriate technical stories and participate in prioritizing them.
Own application solution quality from design and implementation through deployment and operation.
Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders in delivering features.
Maintain technical understanding of third-party and cloud solutions; evaluate technical impacts of new product releases and coordinate their implementation.
Participate in agile-team sizing and estimation activities.
Communicate daily with the Scrum Master or Technical Product Owner and agile team about progress, planned work, and impediments or blockers.
Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives, communicate ideas for continuous improvement, and receive feedback for self-improvement.
Ensure the quality of existing and new features through manual and automated testing and continuous integration techniques.
Collaborate with business analysts to confirm business requirements and help define requirements that can be delivered technically.
Educate and guide less-experienced staff.
