About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Software Engineer (Python) within its Secured Network Services organization. The role focuses on designing and delivering automation solutions for a software-driven infrastructure environment. The engineer will build scalable, reliable, and secure solutions using Python development, automation, API integration, and cloud-native engineering practices. The position leads complex technology initiatives, including companywide initiatives with broad impact. It involves designing and developing API-driven integrations between network platforms and internal systems; creating Python automation frameworks; and transforming manual operational processes into repeatable, maintainable workflows. Solutions should meet performance, security, reliability, and maintainability standards and align with wider architecture and infrastructure strategies. The role partners with network engineering, platform, and technology teams and leads automation supporting product deployments, service delivery, customer journeys, and API development. It also uses approved AI-assisted development tools and requires sound judgment when reviewing and incorporating AI-assisted outputs into production solutions. The position may lead projects or teams, or serve as a peer mentor. This position is not eligible for telecommuting and offers a hybrid work schedule. It is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
