About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced, hands-on Lead Software Developer with financial services experience and expertise in full-stack development, application design, containerization, and DevOps. The position provides end-to-end technical ownership, from design and development through CI/CD, containerized deployment, and production readiness. It leads technical delivery, mentors engineers, and builds secure, scalable, resilient, high-performing enterprise applications. The role leads application design, development, testing, deployment, modernization, and migration to OCP/Kubernetes-based container environments. It develops APIs, microservices, integrations, backend services, and containerized applications, and supports CI/CD pipelines, production deployments, and post-production stabilization. The engineer collaborates across business, architecture, infrastructure, security, operations, and QA teams, and acts as a technical representative for the product in cross-team planning and delivery. The position also supports risk and compliance obligations, quality and security assurance, application troubleshooting, technical standards, code and design reviews, and guidance for less-experienced staff. It operates within Agile development practices and ensures that solutions meet architecture strategies and non-functional requirements throughout the lifecycle.

  • Strong experience with OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized application deployment.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD and DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub/GitLab, Harness, or equivalent.
  • Experience with automated build, test, deployment, and release pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Linux, networking, application configuration, certificates, secrets, and container troubleshooting.
  • Experience with databases and application integration patterns.
  • Experience implementing logging, monitoring, observability, and production support capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the complete SDLC and path-to-production process.
  • Ability to independently drive technical solutions from requirements through production deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • 4+ years of experience with infrastructure automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.

  • Knowledge of cloud-native architecture and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology.
