About The Position

Eolas is a unified risk management platform built for the real estate industry. We bring together real-time risk data, on-site workflows, and security monitoring so property operators can move from reactive to resilient. Our platform includes Assess (risk and incident management) and Protect (intelligent monitoring and oversight). We're a lean, experienced team, headquartered in Orlando with US hiring focused in Florida and Georgia. This is an individual contributor role for an engineer whose home base is React and TypeScript. You'll thrive at Eolas if you're an engineer who thinks in components and state first, having spent enough time in the rest of the stack to handle backend work comfortably. We prioritize experience building products that enterprise customers depend on to run part of their business, and the judgment that comes with it: knowing the difference between code that works in a demo and code that holds up when a customer's business runs through it every day, and having made that call under pressure more than once. Leadership in this role shows up in the quality of the code, the standards the team holds, and the judgment other engineers borrow. As a Lead Engineer, you'll look at a rough problem, form a point of view on the right way to solve it, and move. AI is already part of how our engineers work, and this person will help shape how a small team uses it well.

Requirements

8+ years of software engineering experience with React.js and TypeScript as your core stack.
Full-stack range: comfortable owning APIs and backend integration when the work requires it.
A track record at enterprise SaaS companies, building products that paying customers relied on daily.
A systems thinker who holds tradeoffs and downstream consequences in view across the whole stack.
A self-starter who finds the problem before someone hands it over, forms a point of view, and drives it to done.
Experience setting technical direction or raising the bar for other engineers as an individual contributor.
AI fluency that already shapes how you build.

Responsibilities

Own frontend architecture for our React/TypeScript web applications, end to end.
Range across the stack to design and integrate APIs and backend services when the problem calls for it.
Set the bar for code quality, testing, performance, and maintainability.
Take a rough, underspecified problem and turn it into a scoped, well-reasoned technical solution.
Partner with product and design as a peer.
Raise the level of the engineers around you through code review and technical judgment.
