Lead Software Engineer, Product Security

As the technical lead, you will mentor a group of engineers and make well-informed decisions on security architecture. • Work cross-functionally with design, hardware, system software, services software, infrastructure, and other teams to design security systems for user experiences.
• Define security protocols for device, user, and service authentication and authorization.
• Design and write code in languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, etc.
• Stay updated on changes to security technologies and hacking activities to address security threats.
• Analyze Humane's product security stance to address current and future security issues.
• Have a proactive approach to product development and take initiative.
• Comfortable working in a highly cross-functional role.
• Self-directed, selfless, and mature.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Confident in opinions and open to feedback.

• Preferred skills include cloud and cloud security experience, hardware security understanding, familiarity with machine learning.

• Security protocol experience (TLS, OAuth, etc.)
• Understanding of cryptography, protocols, authentication, authorization, and security vulnerabilities
• Software engineering experience in multiple languages from system level coding to scalable server side / infrastructure
• Secure coding knowledge
• Proactive approach to product development
