About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 9+ years relevant experience, or Master’s with 7+ years, or 13+ years relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong expertise in FPGA development (VHDL preferred), DSP, and digital communications
  • Experience with simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and FPGA verification
  • Proficiency in signal detection, classification, and advanced DSP techniques
  • Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces (Ethernet, SPI, UART, SDRAM, DDR3, JESD, PCIe)
  • US citizenship with current DoD clearance or eligibility to obtain one

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering
  • Proven team leadership in technical engineering environments
  • EW signal processing (ES/EA), machine learning, FEC, modem algorithm implementation
  • Hands-on lab debug with advanced measurement equipment (signal generators, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
  • Experience with ModelSim, Synplify, AMD Xilinx Vivado/ISE, Intel Quartus, HLS, high-speed serial interfaces
  • Familiarity with Git, C/C++/C#, MATLAB, Simulink

Responsibilities

  • Lead FPGA-based electronic warfare and wireless communications system design from proposal to field integration
  • Architect, develop, and verify advanced DSP, modem, and signal-processing solutions in VHDL and/or Verilog
  • Oversee simulation, synthesis, place-and-route, and implementation for high-speed, high-complexity FPGA projects
  • Integrate and test hardware solutions, providing laboratory debug and field support
  • Mentor and guide small teams of technical contributors and junior engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, deliver prototypes, and refine final products
