About The Position

The CloudOps team is responsible for the availability, reliability, performance, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning of Icertis SaaS applications and related services. It provisions infrastructure and access, performs upgrades and deployments, and manages changes to accelerate time to market. The team contributes to the company’s cloud strategy by driving architectural improvements that enhance scalability and optimize costs. The Lead Software Engineer will lead large-scale site reliability engineering initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP; manage container platforms and cloud operations for mission-critical applications; and build automation for provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and system recovery. The role also collaborates with engineering teams and cloud providers, improves incident detection and prevention, and mentors junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in Cloud Operations or SRE roles in mission-critical, 24x7 SaaS environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), AWS ECS/EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, and container lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation using cloud-native tools, Helm charts, ARM templates, Terraform, or similar IaC frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of cloud compute, storage, networking, and container orchestration concepts.
  • Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor, and log management systems.
  • Expertise in cloud operations, SRE/DevOps practices, IaC/CI-CD automation, observability, and AIOps using AI/ML for predictive monitoring, incident correlation, anomaly detection, and self-healing in cloud-native environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute large-scale SRE initiatives to improve performance, reliability, and scalability in Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
  • Implement and manage Azure AKS, AWS ECS/EKS, Kubernetes, and Docker-based container management platforms for mission-critical applications.
  • Build automation and operational workflows using cloud-native capabilities for provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and self-healing systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to design and deploy cloud-native, containerized applications with robust CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve telemetry, monitoring, and automated recovery mechanisms to drive early incident detection and prevention.
  • Work with cloud providers to optimize offerings and use new features for reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in SRE, Kubernetes management, and automation best practices.
