Wells Fargo Bank N.A. seeks a Lead Software Engineer 1 in Charlotte, NC. This role involves designing, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting for projects and programs, driving complex technology initiatives, and acting as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions. The Lead Software Engineer 1 will review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions, assist in developing industry best practices, collaborate with technical experts, and drive projects or serve as a peer mentor. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology or related technical field.
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a related role involving software or application development and engineering experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience with the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with one of the following databases: Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata, Mongo DB, or DB2.
  • 5 years of experience with at least six 6 of the following technical skills: Experience with SAS or SQL; Experience with JAVA/J2EE; Experience with Agile methodologies; Experience with RESTful or SOAP Web Services; Experience with Anthill or Jenkins; Experience with Linux or UNIX; Experience with Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and performance tuning; Experience with Urbancode Deploy; Experience in Jira; Experience with Application Logging Control tools; Experience with Maven, Oracle, or SVN; Experience in application performance, monitoring and optimization tools Blazemeter, Splunk, or AppDynamics; Experience in Application Programming Interface (API) or User Interface (UI) design and development; Experience in automations and unit testing using Jasmine, Karma, Selenium, Junit, or JMeter; Experience in application or software security web application penetration testing, secure code review, or secure static code analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs.
  • Drive complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact.
  • Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines.
  • Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors.
  • Assist in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals.
  • Drive projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.
