As a Lead Software Developer within PNC's Automation and Platform organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX, or Birmingham, AL. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with 5-7 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications using Microservices Architecture, Java, Python, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in distributed systems, event-driven architecture, CI/CD automation, and modern AI capabilities, including Azure AI Foundry and Generative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable applications using Microservices Architecture principles.
Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Bounded Context concepts.
Build event-driven systems using Kafka.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Python frameworks.
Implement Service Discovery, API Gateway, and security best practices.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Integrate Azure AI Foundry and Generative AI capabilities into business solutions.
Creates and leads the technical design and development of software solutions.
Proposes & designs software solutions to address complex business needs.
Prepares technical and procedural documentation required.
Facilitates complex problem resolution.
Provides technical guidance and support to colleagues.
Reviews coding, testing, and documentation of software.
Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities.
