About The Position

The Lead Shipping and Receiving Clerk manages the flow of goods by verifying shipments, reconciling orders, and coordinating complex logistics. This role is critical in ensuring timely deliveries through meticulous record-keeping, expert equipment operation, and strict adherence to safety and ISO standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a shipping/distribution center environment.
  • Strong ERP/WMS skills (Global Shop experience is a plus).
  • Ability to stand/walk for 8–10 hours per day on hard surfaces.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs independently (up to 75 lbs with assistance).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and operate material handling equipment (pallet jacks/forklifts).

Responsibilities

  • Manage labeling and documents such as packing list.
  • Assign daily tasks, prioritize inbound flow, and validate all receipts.
  • Document discrepancies and ensure the timely staging of materials.
  • Physically match incoming items against packing lists for 100% accuracy.
  • Log all inventory transactions into the Global Shop (ERP) system.
  • Confirm PO numbers on all documentation are consistent and correct.
  • Partner with Accounts Payable to match packing lists with invoices for seamless payment processing.
  • Identify process gaps and participate in projects to reduce errors.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for system transactions.
  • Maintain strict Process Control to ensure conforming product output.
  • Ensure Documentation Traceability for all incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement by reporting quality issues and optimizing workflows.
