Lead Shipper
About The Position
This position involves working in a warehouse setting, primarily focused on shipping and receiving operations. Key duties include safely operating forklifts or reach trucks, pulling, staging, labeling, loading, and inspecting shipments. The role also requires maintaining a clean and organized warehouse, conducting inventory counts, and cross-training in other distribution departments like Receiving and Material Handling. Adherence to safety rules and PPE requirements is essential, and the individual must be able to follow instructions from leads or managers.
Requirements
- Ability to safely use a stand-up Counterbalance forklift or stand-up reach truck
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment, shift work
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed
Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements
- Perform as a team player, cross train in other distribution departments Receiving, Material Handling
- Pull, stage and label shipments in accordance with Shipping Schedule
- Keep warehouse clean and organized
- Load and inspect outbound shipments
- Unload and inspect inbound shipments
- Conduct EOM inventory counts
- Efficiently carry out all orders of the Lead or Manager
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
