About The Position

Under general direction, the Lead Server is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service team to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest dining experience. This role supports management by leading pre-shift meetings, training new servers, monitoring service quality, and assisting with floor supervision. The Lead Server also performs all standard Server duties, maintaining a professional and efficient dining environment.

Requirements

  • A minimum one (1) year of experience in related field required.
  • Food Handler's Card - must be state/county-specific.
  • Alcohol Awareness Training Certification - must be state/county-specific.
  • Ability to understand and follow both oral and written directions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others in English and interact successfully with internal and external customers.
  • Proficient in time management; the ability to effectively organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Recognizes an emergency situation and takes appropriate action.
  • Emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and engages guests in a professional, friendly, and timely manner.
  • Leads and supports Servers to ensure consistent execution of brand and service standards.
  • Assists management with daily floor operations, including opening and closing duties.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings to communicate specials, menu changes, and service expectations.
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and feedback to team members to enhance performance.
  • Ensures tables are properly set, side work is completed, and sections are prepared for service.
  • Handles guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Monitors food and beverage quality and presentation before delivery to guests.
  • Supports accurate order entry, timing, and coordination with kitchen and bar teams.
  • Assists with training new Servers and reinforcing Company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assists in inventory management and supply ordering as needed.
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Company standards; wears the appropriate uniform or attire.
  • Maintains open and effective communication with team members and management.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings.
  • Adheres to established safety and emergency procedures and protocols, this includes Company, federal, and state specific regulations and guidelines.
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
