Requirements
- 3 years of experience as a server in the hospitality or seniors living industry along with your Food Safe Level 1, Serving it Right and WHMIS certifications.
- Experience in leading, training, and motivating staff.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the dining room.
- Understand and respect the needs of seniors, their families, and other professional services engaged with our residents.
- Upbeat and positive; bringing good energy day to day.
- Can hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment, solving problems like a true pro.
- A details person, an excellent communicator, and a customer service superstar.
- Criminal Record Check, and a TB test within the first month of employment.
Responsibilities
- Actively participates in and oversees all server functions as well as leading the dining room service to create an enjoyable and pleasant dining experience for residents and guests.
- Ensure a high standard of appearance and service.
- Lead and motivate dining room staff.
- Greet and seat residents.
- Serve and provide bar service as needed.
- Creating an incredible dining experience for our residents and guests.
- Creating a warm and positive atmosphere through customer-service excellence in every interaction.
- Serving meals with flourish, according to proper food-handling procedures.
- Leading, training and motivating the serving team, providing regular feedback and coaching as needed.
- Serve as liaison between the dining room and kitchen staff.
