About The Position

American Appliance Products, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead or Senior Maintenance Technician to support and improve the reliability of our manufacturing operations in Newport, Tennessee. This is a day shift position with frequent opportunities for overtime, competitive pay based on experience and market value, and an excellent benefits package. The ideal candidate will bring strong industrial maintenance experience, including hands-on expertise supporting plating and/or powder coating operations, and will serve as a key technical resource for our maintenance team while partnering closely with the Maintenance Manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; senior-level experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in: Electrical systems, PLCs and industrial controls, Mechanical systems, Hydraulics and pneumatics, Motors, drives, and conveyors.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Leadership experience or the ability to provide technical direction and mentorship.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience supporting plating lines, powder coating lines, paint systems, or similar finishing processes strongly preferred.
  • Technical certification or trade school training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Support and maintain plating and/or powder coating lines, including associated pumps, conveyors, ovens, tanks, controls, and environmental systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvement projects.
  • Lead maintenance activities during equipment outages and major repairs.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians.
  • Partner with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
