About The Position

Boyd Gaming Corporation is a premier casino entertainment company in the United States. The Lead Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel, casino, and outdoor areas. This role involves monitoring for disturbances, illegal activity, and safety hazards, as well as managing security keys and ensuring accurate log entries and incident report reviews. The position also requires assisting other security officers and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Basic Math skills with knowledge of currency.
• Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin.
• Must be able to bend, push, lift, and carry up to 26 pounds in weight.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Previous money handling/cashiering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulate through hotel, casino, and outdoor areas looking for possible disturbances, illegal activity, or safety hazards and taking appropriate action.
• Responsible for the security of all keys.
• Verify that all pertinent log entries have been entered accurately and completely; review all Employee Accident and Incident Reports filed.
• Assist security officers with assigned duties when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
