About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Lead Security Officer to join their Protective Services Department at the Baptist St. Augustine FSED location. This is a full-time position with 12-hour shifts, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The primary role of the Lead Security Officer is to ensure the daily safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. The team is implementing new technologies like metal detectors to enhance patient safety and experience. In addition to the duties of a Safety and Security Officer, this role involves specialized training in areas such as investigations, security equipment, administration, safety, hazmat, and training. The Lead Security Officer will also manage materials management ordering for the location and require training on supply chain software.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years Law Enforcement Experience
• 3-5 Years Security Officer Experience
• 3-5 Years Military Experience
• 1-2 years Healthcare Experience
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Driver's License Required
• A detailed fingerprint-based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.

• International Assn for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Supervisor Certification Preferred
• International Assn for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Advanced Certification Preferred
