Maffey's Security Group is seeking a Lead Security Electronics Technician. This position requires the ability to install, maintain, and repair electronic security systems, including CCTV and alarm systems. Requirements

  • Strong technical skills in electronics, electrical wiring, and security systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve technical issues.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for security systems and equipment.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Ability to provide good customer service, especially in terms of training and support.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and wiring security systems, including access control, CCTV, Gate systems, Intercom, and alarm systems, following blueprints and building plans.
  • Programming various systems pertaining to CCTV, Intrusion, access control, intercoms, and gate systems.
  • Performing regular maintenance, including cleaning, adjusting, and testing security equipment and systems.
  • Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in security systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Conducting tests to ensure proper system operation, including testing circuits, sensors, and backup systems.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with security systems, CCTV, Access Control, Intercom, and gate systems.
  • Providing technical support to users, explaining system functions, and assisting with troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining records of system installations, configurations, and maintenance activities.
  • Integrating security systems with other safety and security subsystems, such as fire alarms or emergency systems.
  • Assisting with security assessments and recommending equipment and systems upgrades.
  • Training users on how to use and maintain security systems.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and codes during installations and repairs.
  • Managing parts inventory and maintaining tools.
  • Responding to work orders, communicating with clients, and coordinating with other departments.
