About The Position

We are seeking a Lead School Age Teacher to join our growing team at our Gold (SUTQ), NAC-accredited childcare and preschool center located in Middlefield, OH. All Around Children, a family-owned company and operated childcare business with a passion for working with young children, has been providing high-quality care and education since 2008. We have 8 state-of-the-art learning centers throughout NE Ohio. Requirements

  • Previous experience working with groups of children age ranging from 5 years of age - 12 years of age.
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current physical, and ability to pass BCI/FBI background check.
  • Able to work indoors and outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and able to create a warm, nurturing and responsive environment for children and families.
  • Tdap and MMR Vaccination.
  • TB Screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of CDA, AA, or higher degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field is a plus.
  • Career Pathways Level 3 Certification (preferred for Lead Teachers).

Responsibilities

  • Instruct children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth.
  • Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity.
  • Promote positive group dynamics for safe, fun and team-building activities.
  • Actively participate in program activities while maintaining control of the group during activities.
  • Supervise children during indoor/outdoor playtime, meal time, and educational activities.
  • Attend all staff training, staff meetings, and professional development.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
  • Must be dependable and maintain a good work record as to punctuality and daily attendance.
  • Participate in safety drills by following the established guideline.
