About The Position

SYSTRA Canada is part of the SYSTRA group, an international consulting and engineering group, a world leader in the design of transport infrastructures. SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm whose primary focus is to offer transportation solutions, whether for passengers or goods: feasibility studies of building a new railway line, increasing the capacity of the existing infrastructure, privatization of a railway. This role will support the SYSTRA Canada team on various projects in Toronto.

Requirements

  • Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in planning and staging for large infrastructure projects, preferably in the railway industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, logistics planning, and resource management
  • Familiarity with construction methodologies, safety regulations, and environmental considerations
  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes.
  • Create the environment for successful implementation of processes.
  • Ability to contribute to the establishment of a behavioral charter and capability to drive the agreed. behavioral values through MCS and the wider program team.
  • Respectfully listens to others and considers all views presented.
  • Teamwork – balances team and individual responsibilities; gives and welcomes feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the project's planning and delivery strategies.
  • Collaborate with project teams and external stakeholders to identify and optimize sequencing, logistics, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments to ensure effective planning and staging of activities.
  • Coordinate with various teams to develop schedules, phasing plans, and mitigation measures.
  • Attend planning meetings ensuring effect planning is done to reduce safety, maximise performance of engineering possessions.
  • Monitor and update the project's planning and staging activities based on changing requirements and constraints.
