About The Position

As Lead Scheduler, you will own the schedule for an entire community college bond program and manage the schedulers working on individual campuses. You will build and maintain the master schedule and its baselines, including logic, milestones, calendars, and resource loading. Your responsibilities include reviewing contractor submittals against contracts and approved baselines, performing time impact analysis to determine the cost of delays, and providing forecasts to program leadership. You will also lead schedule discussions in meetings, explain the program's status, critical paths, and potential issues, and onboard, supervise, and set standards for other schedulers to ensure consistency across the program.

Requirements

• 15 years of recent capital construction scheduling experience (19 years if no degree).
• Advanced Primavera proficiency.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with cost and resource-loaded schedules.
• Experience with Earned Value Management or an equivalent measurement system.
• Experience with time impact analysis and schedule forensics.
• Working knowledge of cost engineering.
• Experience leading other schedulers.
• A bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, business administration, or construction management, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

• AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with community college or K-12 campus programs.
• Experience in owner or program-side scheduling (not solely contractor-side).

Responsibilities

• Owning the program schedule: baseline, master, and detailed, with logic, constraints, milestones, calendars, and cost and resource loading.
• Reviewing every contractor schedule submittal against the contract, the specification, and the approved baseline.
• Performing quality control on schedules: critical paths, activity relationships, float, coding, and data validation.
• Conducting time impact analysis and delay investigations to determine impacts on milestones and completion dates.
• Identifying, tracking, and communicating schedule risks, and assisting in building recovery plans.
• Generating reports on baseline variance, critical path changes, milestone performance, forecast completion, delays, and recovery actions.
• Managing the schedulers on the college project teams, including onboarding, supervising work, and providing coverage.
• Establishing and maintaining the program's scheduling standards, templates, coding structures, and tools for consistency.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for schedule-related questions from contractors, designers, and program leadership.
