About The Position

The Lead Scaffold Builder is responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffolding in a safe and productive manner while meeting our customer's objectives. To follow the directions of their immediate supervisor and follow all company, jobsite, local, state and federal regulations pertaining to his/her Health and Safety.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required
Four or more years of experience working as a scaffold builder.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50#.
Must be in a physical condition that will allow walking long distances.
Must be able to work in any environment (heat, cold, rain)
Must be able to stand for a long period of time.
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach and climb.
Must be well-groomed.

Responsibilities

Successfully complete and understand New Hire Orientation.
Successfully complete and understand all required safety trainings.
Successfully complete and understand Scaffold Competent Person Training.
Attend all required safety meetings.
Report any unsafe acts and conditions immediately to your supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned by the E&D Foreman or Competent Person
Assist in the on-the-job training of Carpenters, Carpenter Helpers and Laborers.
Visually inspect all equipment as it is being erected and/or dismantled.
Maintain work areas in a neat and orderly fashion at all times.
Have all the required tools to properly perform their duties.
Perform material handling duties for the erection and dismantle of the scaffold.
Proper Assembly and disassembly of the scaffolding.
Participate and in some cases complete the required E&D documents of the jobsite.
May serve as the "Competent Person" for the scaffold project.
