Lead SAP Consultant
About The Position
We are seeking a hands-on SAP data and analytics consultant to help clients leverage their evolving SAP landscape. This role involves integrating SAP data with modern cloud platforms like Snowflake and Databricks, enabling clients to utilize the strengths of each platform. As the SAP practice grows, you will have the opportunity to lead projects involving new data platforms on SAP Business Data Cloud and migrations from SAP BW to Databricks. These initiatives aim to reduce costs, accelerate decision-making, and support AI workloads. The role offers a balance of autonomy and support within a small, growing SAP team, allowing you to own client delivery and contribute to building the practice.
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on SAP BW/BW/4HANA experience.
- Solid understanding of SAP as a source system (ECC or S/4HANA, and functional areas like Finance, Sales, Procurement or Supply Chain).
- Real SAP data modelling and data architecture skill; ability to design the solution.
- Consulting delivery experience; experience leading a workstream and building client trust quickly.
- Ability to communicate with clarity.
- Proactive and self-motivated, taking initiative rather than waiting for direction.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations where the path is not fully mapped.
Nice To Haves
- SAP Datasphere experience.
- Exposure to SAP Business Data Cloud or SAP Analytics Cloud (highly desirable).
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Fabric, or Azure.
- Experience migrating clients off SAP BW or BusinessObjects onto cloud analytics.
- Experience with integration tooling (Fivetran, SNP Glue, Theobald Xtract, SAP Data Services).
- Experience with Power BI or Agile delivery.
- Industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, FMCG, Energy, or Financial Services.
Responsibilities
- Lead a workstream end to end, owning a set of deliverables and the plan to achieve them.
- Run client discovery, delve into details, define the design, and set up a build team for commencement.
- Extract SAP source data and rebuild it as analytics on a modern cloud platform.
- Make and defend architecture decisions for your workstream.
- Coach more junior consultants on the SAP side.
- Contribute to pre-sales, proposals, and the growth of our SAP capability.
