About The Position

As a Lead Retail Team Member at Maverik, you’ll take the lead on the floor, support key store operations, and step up when the team needs you, including during busy periods or critical shifts. You’ll help set the tone for the store by providing great customer service, supporting teammates, and helping create a positive experience for every customer. The position is full-time and cross-trained between Food Service and Front-of-Store. Maverik stores operate 24/7, and the role requires schedule flexibility, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to apply.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Flexible schedule; stores operate 24/7, and work may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Able to perform the physical activities described, including lifting, carrying, or moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work safely with high-temperature-generating equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Model and reinforce Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) customer service expectations by providing prompt, friendly, and professional service.
• Help Team Members consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.
• Support team members and customers, and provide leadership and assistance on the floor.
• Keep the store stocked, organized, and ready for customers.
• Manage inventory and handle cash.
• Complete shift checkout and required reporting.
• Work safely with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
