About The Position

As a Lead Rest Area Worker, you will play a key role in daily operations by maintaining restrooms, buildings, and surrounding grounds. This role involves restocking restroom supplies, ensuring public spaces are clean, safe, and inviting, and assisting travelers with professionalism and courtesy. You will also be responsible for reporting maintenance or repair needs promptly, communicating effectively with your supervisor and team, and participating in team meetings and special projects. This is a mission-driven role focused on ensuring New Mexico’s rest areas remain clean, safe, and welcoming for every traveler.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record check
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team
• Friendly, dependable attitude with a willingness to help
• Organizational skills and basic computer knowledge
