Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program with associate degree.
  • One-year Pulmonary Function Testing experience required.
  • Two year’s inpatient Respiratory Care experience required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience as an educator (coordinator of in-service, class, new equipment, etc).
  • Active State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • NBRC - Certified Pulmonary Function Technician Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) required within 1-year of hire to position.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • AHA - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) provider certification within 6 months of hire to position.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider certification within 6 months of hire to position.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinator of pulmonary function lab, pulmonary rehabilitation, education (departmental, LM system, and student clinical rotations).
  • Promotes continuous improvement by utilizing the roles of expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher.
  • Provides clinical leadership through advance practice role modeling and professional communication.
  • Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinated continuity of care.
  • Provides direct and indirect patient care in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care.
  • Communicates with physicians about patient's clinical condition, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
