About The Position

Coordinator of pulmonary function lab, pulmonary rehabilitation, and education (departmental, LM system, and student clinical rotations). Promotes continuous improvement by utilizing the roles of expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher. Provides clinical leadership through advance practice role modeling and professional communication. Functions as part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinates continuity of care. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. Communicates with physicians about patient's clinical condition, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.

Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program with associate degree.
  • One-year Pulmonary Function Testing experience.
  • Two years of inpatient Respiratory Care experience.
  • Active State of Wisconsin Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) required.
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
  • NBRC - Certified Pulmonary Function Technician Technologist (CPFT) or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) required within 1-year of hire.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • AHA - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider certifications within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience as an educator (coordinator of in-service, class, new equipment, etc).
  • Experience in a leadership role preferred.
