About The Position

Blue Ridge Heating & Air is hiring a Lead Residential HVAC Installer to perform residential HVAC installations across the Upstate and Western North Carolina. The role leads complete residential change-outs—including heat pumps, air-conditioning units, and furnaces—from start to finish, with work completed to manufacturer and company standards. The position also involves installing residential and light commercial HVAC equipment and duct systems, preparing materials and equipment, maintaining a company vehicle, mentoring junior installers and apprentices, and providing respectful customer service. The schedule is a dedicated four-day work week. Earnings are listed as $85,000–$125,000+ in the first year, based on a $40–$60 hourly rate plus performance bonuses.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience operating as a lead HVAC installer.
• Required EPA certification.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing support systems.
• Valid, insurable driver's license.
• Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
• Honest, dependable, and takes pride in professional, clean work.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete residential HVAC change-outs, including heat pumps, air-conditioning units, and furnaces, from start to finish.
• Ensure installations meet manufacturer and company standards.
• Install residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, sheet metal, and flex duct systems.
• Run and braze or solder copper refrigerant lines.
• Wire line- and low-voltage electrical components.
• Pre-measure jobs and ensure the correct materials are loaded onto the truck.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked company vehicle.
• Mentor and help train junior installers and apprentices.
• Deliver a respectful customer experience at each job site.
