About The Position
John Owens Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Lead HVAC Installer. This role is for a skilled individual who can confidently lead installation jobs, mentor an assistant, adhere to project plans, and complete installations efficiently and to a high standard. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of residential HVAC systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to represent the company professionally in customer homes. This position is not suitable for individuals with limited experience or those who require constant supervision.
Requirements
- Confident leading an install crew
- Experienced in residential HVAC installation (Mini Splits, Heat Pumps, Mitsubishi etc.)
- Able to teach and hold an assistant accountable
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Strong at problem-solving in the field
- Willing to follow company systems and processes
- Focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Lead residential HVAC installation jobs from start to finish
- Install systems correctly, cleanly, and according to company standards
- Train and guide your install assistant throughout the day
- Complete jobs on schedule without cutting corners
- Follow company procedures, checklists, and safety standards
- Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and management
- Take pride in clean work, clean job sites, and doing things the right way
