The Availability & Reliability Engineer is a specialized, hardware-focused engineering role within the Wind Engineering division. The engineer uses data to inform the physical design and maintenance of wind turbines, applying mechanical and systems engineering principles to fleet datasets to develop turbine reliability models and availability forecasts. The work supports durable hardware design, service-contract optimization, and customer performance expectations. The role analyzes turbine performance data to identify physical causes of unavailability, develops component-level reliability models, and partners with Design Engineering to establish and verify reliability targets. It also owns the data pipeline used for statistical analysis, supports spare-part inventory planning, forecasts fleet-wide availability for Long-Term Service Agreements and financial risk management, and models the expected impact of proposed fleet retrofits or design changes. GE Vernova offers professional development, challenging careers, competitive compensation, and a range of benefits. Relocation assistance is provided. U.S.-based candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States, and an offer is conditional on successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable. The posting is expected to remain open for at least seven days after its posting date of October 12, 2026.
