About The Position

The Lead Release Engineer participates in the execution of structural and coolant hose components and supports technical aspects for the Program Management Team (PMT), with emphasis on component requirement development and DFMEA and CTS template development. The role supports finalizing component designs for new architectures and defining, executing, and evaluating design requirements, performance targets, analyses, development, test procedures, testing, and validation for major engineering projects. The engineer works with designers and other component owners to ensure interface and packaging compatibility within the Rechargeable Energy Storage System (RESS) and to select suitable designs. They collaborate with manufacturing to ensure component manufacturability, with service to ensure serviceability, and with purchasing on component sourcing. The role also supports DFMEA and Design Reviews Based on Test Results (DRBTR), tracks validation status and reviews results, resolves development and validation issues, and works with the RESS Lead Design Release Engineer to execute an optimal RESS design. The position follows a hybrid work policy: three days in the office and two days remote. The employee must be able to report to the local office.
