About The Position
Bitterroot Health, located in Montana's scenic Bitterroot Valley, is seeking a Lead Reimbursement Specialist for its Patient Financial Services department in Hamilton, Montana. The Lead Reimbursement Specialist will be responsible for the insurance billing process for the hospital and clinics, ensuring accurate and timely billing and payment of all claims by working effectively with various departments, insurance companies, federal agencies, and third-party payers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and other office equipment
- Basic computer skills
- Data entry skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to communicate with other departments, including clinics, ensuring the most effective Revenue Cycle process
Nice To Haves
- One to three years of relevant experience in medical collections or professional billing
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the insurance billing process for the hospital and clinics
- Work closely and effectively with all hospital departments, clinics, insurance companies, federal agencies and third party payers to ensure accurate and timely billing and payment of all claims
