About The Position

The Lead Regulatory Licensing Engineer will assist with Nuclear Licensing projects for the operating fleet of BWRs as well as manage GVH's 10 CFR Part 21 Program. This role involves developing, resolving, and determining the effectiveness of condition reports, coordinating and preparing Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), and preparing responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questions. The position also includes preparing and reviewing licensing documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR) applications, supporting customer 10 CFR 50.59 reviews, and interfacing with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues to secure applicable permissions and approvals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct commercial nuclear experience including experience contributing to complex projects and cross-functional coordination (e.g., Engineering).

Responsibilities

  • Help develop, resolve, and determine the effectiveness of condition reports.
  • Coordinate and prepare Licensing Topical Reports (LTRs), including preparation of responses to customer and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) questions.
  • Prepare and review licensing documentation and reports supporting customer License Amendment Request (LAR) applications.
  • Support customer 10 CFR 50.59 reviews, including preparation of Technical Safety Evaluation Reports and working with internal teams evaluating licensing status of various fuel and methodology changes.
  • Interface with customers and regulatory personnel on regulatory issues, and secure applicable permissions and approvals related to project scopes.
