About The Position
Lead Registered Nurse We’re seeking a Lead RN who is ready to combine clinical expertise with leadership. In this role, you’ll oversee nursing operations, support and develop staff, and ensure high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Requirements
- Active RN license (multi-state preferred if applicable)
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required (BSN preferred)
- 3+ years of clinical nursing experience
- 1+ year supporting IDD, developmental disabilities, or long-term care populations
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with documentation systems (EHR) and Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to manage priorities, travel locally, and respond to urgent needs

- BSN preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to RNs and LVNs/LPNs
- Coordinate care delivery and ensure appropriate staffing coverage
- Step in to provide direct clinical support when needed
- Review assessments, care plans, and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Serve as a clinical resource for complex medical and behavioral cases
- Partner with physicians, pharmacies, and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational standards
- Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of nursing staff
