Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience applying object-oriented software design in C++ or C, and using MATLAB for evaluation of data sets
  • Experience developing or simulating radar systems
  • Experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for engineering solutions
  • Experience in System Integration & Test of hardware and software
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • EVMS or EAC experience
  • Advanced Degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
  • Experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines and developing and presenting technical briefings
  • Experience with radar design, modeling/simulation, hardware/software integration, test and verification
  • Experience using UNIX/Linux based workstations and using Software Configuration Management tools
  • Course work or experience in some of the following fields: radar, signal & image processing, radar and/or EO/IR environment models, digital communications, probability and statistics, linear algebra, estimation theory, optimal control, system architecture
  • Experience developing proposals (i.e., developing TINA compliant Basis of Estimates)
  • Experience leading a team(s) of systems engineers and interfacing with other organizations and disciplines (e.g., program management, software engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, subcontractors and the customer).
  • Experience overseeing and/or presenting financial metrics associated with the efforts being led (e.g., budget, schedule, variance reports, earned value metrics).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of radar requirements
  • Create high fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of modeling solutions, and subsequently conduct trade studies and evaluation of system and subsystem performance
  • Lead a team of Systems Engineers, working in a team environment, receiving inputs from the team and providing guidance and direction to team members
  • Interface with the other team leads, chief engineers, technical directors and program management and the customers
  • Lead hands-on operational Integration and Test at the Fullerton Test Site
  • Lead flight tests and analyze collected data to evaluate radar performance
  • Lead CONUS and OCONUS radar system sell-off to the customer
