About The Position

Eaton's North American Sales Division is seeking a Lead Quotation Specialist to join its team, located in either City of Industry or San Diego. This role provides leadership for complex project quotations supporting large commercial construction and industrial opportunities across Southern California and Hawaii. The role involves direct involvement in pricing strategy, strategic pursuits, major project opportunities, and Eaton’s power distribution business growth initiatives. The Lead Quotation Specialist serves as the Los Angeles District's primary resource for complex project quotations, supporting large commercial construction and industrial project opportunities throughout Southern California and Hawaii. This individual will work closely with district sales teams, key channel partners, rep agencies, vertical market leaders, and product line resources to develop competitive quotation and pricing strategies that maximize order conversion, profitability, and market share. The position functions as the district's centralized quotations resource, managing strategic opportunities, bid activity, pricing strategy, and project follow-up while maintaining visibility through Salesforce and other business systems. The role plays a critical part in driving district growth, forecast accuracy, and successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of large project quotation experience
  • Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
  • Candidates must currently reside within 75 miles of either City of Industry, CA or San Diego, CA. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret customer plans, specifications, and project requirements to develop complete and competitive quotations.
  • Develop strategic pricing recommendations and margin strategies in partnership with district sales leadership and product line teams.
  • Support large commercial construction and industrial project pursuits across the Los Angeles District and Hawaii.
  • Serve as the district's primary quotations resource for Eaton's Commercial Products and Power Distribution portfolios.
  • Manage and prioritize strategic opportunities, typically valued at $500,000 or greater.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales Engineers and district leadership to develop pursuit strategies that improve quote conversion and order capture.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key distribution partners.
  • Collaborate internally with product lines, customer service, engineering, operations, and sales support teams to provide accurate quotations and lead times.
  • Utilize Salesforce, Bid Manager, VISTA, SAP, and other Eaton business systems to manage opportunities, quotations, forecasting activities, and project reporting.
  • Track project timelines, maintain quote follow-up activity, and ensure organizational discipline throughout the sales cycle.
  • Communicate market intelligence, competitive information, and pursuit strategy recommendations to district leadership.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate monthly project and bid activity reports within the district.
  • Provide timely responses and exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee quotations through completion and provide ongoing follow-up support to help drive project success and order conversion.
